Job Summary: Under the general guidance and supervision of the Vice President of Risk Management, this role will support general audit of the Credit Union's information security function ensuring standards are being followed and are effective; completes risk assessments and oversight of third party vendor relationships to ensure compliance with existing standardsDirectly Manages Position(s): N/AIndirectly Manages Position(s): N/AQualifications:Job Education and Experience Required: Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Business, related field or 4+ years of experience in the field of Information Security or Auditing Preferred Education, Certifications, & Experience (in addition to above): Professional designation: CISM or CISSP Information Security auditing experience Knowledge and Job Performance Requirements: Ability to interpret and translate business requirements into security requirements that meet enterprise policies and standards. Understanding of the commonly-used concepts, practices, and procedures within the information security field including, but not limited to, operating systems, network security, vulnerability analysis, intrusion detection and incident response. Experience with conducting audits, risk assessments of internal systems, controls and 3rd party technologies. Practical experience with operation of commonly used information security systems and tools. Strong communication skills including both technical and business writing, documentation and presentation skills. Essential Functions: Assist in planning, management and execution of risk assessments and security audits, to include reporting and providing follow up to identified findings. Coordinate and assist with third party IT Security audits ensuring findings are appropriately addressed. Continuously monitor and identify information technology risks; Stay abreast of security threats and potential vulnerabilities that could impact the Credit Union. Verify required patches or system upgrades have been accomplished throughout the information system's life cycle. Collect, monitor and analyze IT security metrics to measure the effectiveness of credit union IT security management processes.Assess effectiveness and ensure adherence to Information Security related policies, procedures and standards. Support the Credit Union's Vendor Risk Management program, ensuring appropriate Information Security standards are applied. Support improved data security awareness and education. Provide support, as necessary to existing Internal Audit functions.
