Northrop Grumman Technology Services is seeking an Aircraft Maintenance Manager 1 to join our growing team in Warner Robins, Georgia. The successful candidate will support our Global Hawk EPIC Retrofit Modification efforts.

  • Oversees maintenance servicing, repairing, and overhauling aircraft and aircraft engines to ensure mechanical integrity and flight safety
  • Ensures USAF maintenance requirements are met IAW AFI 21-101.
  • Schedules maintenance and inspections.
  • Obtains quotes from outside repair facilities for equipment that cannot be repaired or maintained in-house.
  • Releases aircraft for flight.
  • Recommends procedural changes to improve maintainability of aircraft and timely inspections.
  • Consults manufacturers’ manuals for specifications and determines feasibility of repair or replacement.
  • Responsible for the direct supervision/management of the staff.
  • Responsible for providing objective-oriented direction to subordinates utilizing management guidelines & general policies.
  • Drafts and executes plans for program performance
  • Leads maintainers in the performance of disassembly, rework, repair, replacement, re-assembly or adjustment of various vehicle systems in accordance with technical specifications, technical manuals, engineering instructions, and applicable Air Force instructions.
  • Works closely with Northrop Grumman Aerospace Systems Engineering teams to resolve technical and support issues.
  • Ensures trained professionals are on-site for launch, recovery, and designated maintenance tasks.
  • Makes certain performance is in accordance with Global Hawk EPIC Retrofit Modification contract standards.
The position also requires the ability to complete a four-month training program in Palmdale, California.
  • Duration: 16 April 2018 – 17 August 2018
  • Global Hawk Retrofit Modification specific training (over-the-shoulder)
  • All travel expenses paid (plus business travel supplemental pay provided)
  • One paid weekend trip home per month of training
